Sophie Andrews - PCN Human Resources (HR) Manager

Sophie works closely with the Clinical Director, Deputy Clinical Director, Operations Manager and Network Surgeries to assist with the recruitment an ongoing Human Resources support of all Network Employees. She works across both South Dartmoor & Totnes and South Hams PCN’s in this role. She liaises directly with the member practices and Clinical Leads to ensure ongoing training and development is in place. As well as working for the Primary Care Network Sophie is also the Operations Manager at Leatside Surgery in Totnes.

Christina Brown - Network Administrator

Christina works closely with the management team to provide their administrative support and also to support our Primary Care Network (PCN) employees and the wider team of GP representatives, clinical leads and our finance lead.  She works across both South Dartmoor & Totnes and South Hams PCN’s in this role.  She also has close links with our Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT), Livewell and Devon County Council (DCC) colleagues who provide community provision across the area along with our local voluntary services and agencies.

Graham Ray - PCN Finance & Accounts Officer

Graham is the PCN Finance and Account Officer for both the South Hams and South Dartmoor & Totnes Primary Care Networks.  Graham is also the practice manager at Buckfastleigh Medical Centre.

 Kate Szcepanski – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN First Contact Practitioner (FCP) Physiotherapist

Kate Szcepanski – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN First Contact Practitioner (FCP) Physiotherapist

Kate is our South Dartmoor & Totnes First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapist which means that she can see you, the patient, before you see a doctor for any musculoskeletal ache and pains. She can talk about the problem, assess and aim to diagnose then discuss further management and care.

Kate has been qualified since 2007 and has worked in both large hospitals and within the community across all physiotherapy disciplines. Most recently she worked at Derriford Hospital within the emergency and short-term wards and in the Minors department of Accident and Emergency. This experience has allowed Kate to think on her feet and accept that pain is both specific and complex.

Danny Harris – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Paramedic

Danny Harris – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Paramedic

Danny is one of our two South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Paramedics. Danny provides duty list assistance for patients presenting with urgent on the day problems. 

With the support of the duty teams they are assessing patients, treating and referring to ongoing services. They are also working towards their ACP Advanced Care Practitioner MSc qualification, which will enable them to add that extra skill set to the duty team and the patients they serve. 

Tom Wilson – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Paramedic

Tom Wilson – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Paramedic

Tom is one of our two South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Paramedics. 

Tom is studying for his master’s in advanced clinical practice (ACP).  Our Paramedics are very experienced in dealing with acutely unwell patients and making decisions about their care.

He undertakes same day/urgent clinics and home visits for patients that need to be seen that day as their illness or injury can’t wait for a routine appointment.  He always has the support of a Doctor and will be able to see and treat an individual or refer onwards to Hospital or another healthcare service as necessary.

Claire McKinlay – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Pharmacy Technician

Claire is our South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN pharmacy technician.  She trained 20 years ago when she lived in Ireland where she worked in community pharmacy.  Since returning to the UK Claire worked in prison pharmacy until joining the South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN.

Claire works across the PCN to promote and support medicines optimisation ensuring the effective and efficient use of medicines, minimising clinical risk and reducing wasted medicines, and maximising safe and cost-effective evidence-based prescribing. In addition to supporting the wider medicines optimisation programme, Claire works alongside Annmarie and Jeanne to provide support for medication reviews.  

Jenny Ubsdell – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Social Prescribing Link Worker

Jenny Ubsdell – South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN Social Prescribing Link Worker

Jenny became a Social Prescribing Link Worker for the South Dartmoor & Totnes PCN in October 2019.  She has worked within the voluntary sector since 2014 initially as a Hospital Discharge Co-ordinator at Teignmouth Hospital, then Dawlish Hospital.  In 2017 she started working for Totnes Caring as a Wellbeing Co-ordinator, as part of their Wellbeing Team.  Social Prescribing builds on that role as the link with Primary Care, covering the wider patch of the South Dartmoor and Totnes Primary Care Network.  Jenny also links and work closely with other community voluntary organisations in the area.
